D-Day hour by hour
These pages have been compiled by the D-Day Museum and list some of the main events that took place on each beach on D-Day. The lists are not exhaustive, and for more information you can consult books or websites about the relevant beach.
First Allied troops to land: 50th (Northumbrian) Division, led by 69th and 231st Brigades, 8th Armoured Brigade.
