Four years in the preparation, Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion
of Normandy on 6 June 1944, marked the beginning of the end of World
War II and the eventual liberation of Europe.

Children's University Group
A group of artworks created by the Children's University group at the D-Day Museum, Portsmouth, November 2008, as part of the Discovering D-Day project. They were inspired by the museum's displays, particularly various model dioramas showing different scenes to do with D-Day.
